We can’t wait to meet you!
A LETTER FROM LETTE (the human behind Kambo Kreativa)
Hi! I’m Lette Allen, the founder of Kambo Kreativa and a certified Kambo Practitioner through the International Association of Kambo Practitioners (IAKP). I trained in Pucallpa, Peru, under the guidance of Esther Kaijim and José Luis del Solar, and this medicine continues to humble me and teach me every single day. Originally from Alabama, I now split my time between Los Angeles and my desert home in Joshua Tree— drawn to the grounding, clarifying pull of the land and what I lovingly call its “magical vortex energy,” the kind that gently (and sometimes insistently) brings me back to center.
My journey with Kambo began during a season in my life when I was desperately searching for support with gut health and relief from S.I.B.O. (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth). While I noticed profound shifts in my digestion and overall well-being, what truly surprised me was what opened creatively. I hadn’t realized how much I’d been holding myself tight— over-managing, controlling, and quietly disconnected from my own rhythm. Kambo helped me soften, release, and remember what it feels like to be in conversation with my body and my thoughts again.
Alongside this healing, I found myself reconnecting to voice and expression in a way that felt more raw, more honest, and more alive. Storytelling has always been part of me, with music, movement, and creative expression woven into who I am. They continue to shape how I hold space today— not as performance, but as presence.
As a survivor of sexual assault, Kambo helped me access and release layers of trauma that were still living in my body. Even after years of talk therapy and personal healing work, I discovered there was more waiting to be felt and embodied. Kambo met me at that deeper layer— inviting release, embodiment, and a path toward integration I didn’t know I was still seeking. This lived experience shapes my trauma-informed, consent-centered approach, with deep care for nervous-system safety and personal pacing.
Kambo isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. It meets us exactly where we are when we surrender to it. For me, it’s been a powerful ally in both physical healing and personal transformation.
In addition to Kambo, I also serve gentle Amazonian allies such as Hapé and Sananga when appropriate, always with education, intention, and respect for each medicine’s role. These tools can support grounding, clarity, energetic cleansing, and deeper connection, and are offered collaboratively based on your needs and readiness.
Each ceremony I facilitate is rooted in care, safety, and deep respect for your process. We’ll move together at your pace, beginning with a consultation where we explore your intentions, health history, and the kind of support that will serve you best— before, during, and after your session. Integration is a vital part of this work, and I offer ongoing support to help you continue processing, reflecting, and reconnecting with what unfolds. This is a co-creative journey, and you don’t have to walk it alone.
Before stepping fully into this healing path, I built a creative career writing, performing, and producing original theatre works, including musicals and immersive projects developed in major U.S. cities and internationally in Barcelona. That creative lineage still lives at the heart of my work today.
Thank you so much for visiting my website and for considering this work. A consultation is the first step— it gives us a chance to connect, talk through your intentions, and make sure Kambo is a safe and supportive fit for you.
My guiding mantra in both healing and life, borrowed from a dear medicine sister, is simple: “What if it’s easy?”
🐸 Hoppily yours,
Lette

Kambo is a traditional Amazonian “medicine” derived from the Giant Monkey Tree Frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor) or the “leaf guardian”. (Please note that Kambo is not officially recognized as a medicine, though some cultures describe it as that due to its many benefits.)
It is non-psychoactive and non-toxic. It is collected without harm to the frog, from its skin secretion, and applied through superficial burns on the skin. Immediate effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sweating, lightheadedness, and other symptoms. After treatments, users often report significant health improvements for various physical and spiritual conditions after its use. Kambo is utilized to address a wide range of physical and emotional issues.
KAMBO’S ORIGIN
The use of Kambo originated in the Amazon jungle among various indigenous South American groups.
Known as Kambo or “sapo” to some, it was initially used to enhance the hunters' abilities within the tribe. This included increased endurance, stamina, visual acuity, improved hearing, reduced need for food and water, and masking of human scent for better hunting. Often used with a snuff called NuNu (a type of hapé), it also induced visions to guide their hunting efforts. Additionally, Kambo was applied to women and children to treat ailments like malaria, parasites, snake bites, and "panema" or bad luck.
According to a Kaxinawá legend, the tribe's medicine man (known as “pajé” in Brazil) faced a dire situation where all known medicinal herbs had been tried to cure the tribe's illness to no avail. Desperate, he turned to Ayahuasca for guidance. Under its influence, he ventured into the forest where he was presented with a vision of a frog from which he was shown a white secretion being extracted, teaching him its application. Returning to the tribe, the pajé followed these instructions and successfully healed his people. He was thereafter known as pajé Kampum. Upon his death, his spirit was believed to reside in the frog, continuing to protect the health of those who defend the forest.
The discovery of Kambo by the western world occurred in 1986 when Peter Gorman, an investigative journalist, encountered it while living with the Matsés tribe. He went on to write Sapo in My Soul: The Matsés Frog Medicine.
Kambo Kreativa exclusively uses Kambo sticks that are ethically harvested by the Matsés tribe of Peru.

Hapé (a.k.a. “Rapé) is a snuff made from a blend of tobacco, ash, and diverse plants, seeds, flowers, and herbs. It is blessed with intentions by the tribes who make it and is considered a sacred tool used to connect to Spirit. It is administered (or passed) by being blown into the nostrils for rapid absorption through the sinuses. Hapé is sometimes utilized in Kambo treatments to address energetic blockages and can also assist in bringing on a purge. It can also be passed at the beginning of a Kambo ceremony to help center energy, dispel any scattered thoughts, and enhance focus on our intention.

Sananga, derived from the Amazonian plant Tabernaemontana undulata, is a fermented extract rich in various alkaloids, including ibogaine-like compounds. Administered as eye drops, it has traditionally been used to enhance vision in the "third eye" and to address various ocular conditions. Packed with potent antimicrobial, anti- inflammatory, and antioxidant properties, Sananga is believed to dispel "Panema" or negative energy and bad luck. One drop is applied to each eye while reclined, causing a brief but intense burning sensation lasting about a minute or two before quickly subsiding. The experience typically concludes within five minutes, leaving the individual with enhanced vision, groundedness, relaxation, and spiritual clarity. It can help improve vision over time, decalcify the pineal gland, and aid in migraine relief.
